| Charm City Pet Crematory, Believes it is important families be informed on procedures of the cremation involving your pets final disposition. Every step in the process is regulated Maryland Department of the Environment and strictly adhered to by CCPC along with following IEE machine recommendations. |
| # 1) Place your companion into a cardboard cremation container and seal. # 2) Attach a stainless steel ID tag to the cremation container. This ID tag will be present thought out the entire cremation process. # 3) Attach your pet's cremation intake sheet with all vital information to the cremation container. # 4) The case is then weighted as required by Maryland Department of the Environment. # 5) Upon Completion of the paperwork, the cremation intake sheet is attached to the outside of the cremation unit ( called the retort) and the date and start time is logged on accordingly. # 6) The cardboard cremation container ( including the stainless steel Id tag) is placed into the retort cremation chamber. # 7) Then retort is started and ran at a temperature of 1750 degrees accordance with State of Maryland guidelines. # 8) Upon completion of the process, the retort is cooled and the remains removed and placed in the processing area. # 9) Once the remains are processed at an ash form, they are placed into a Wood urn with the ID tag attached and a certificate of private cremation is attached to the outside of the container. The remains are then either placed in the urn per-selected by family or in the choice of " communal cremation" the ashes are scattered in our on-site garden. |
